Gentile Catone is not only a brand, it is a very personal manifesto of love for art, beauty, and life, which was born from an act of rebellion.
Francesco and Chiara, both born in 1989, graduated in Law and Humanistic letters, respectively. They are incurable dreamers looking for beauty in all its forms and have never lost the ability to wonder. Art and history lovers, they travel a lot, above all on the road searching for sources of inspiration.
At a certain point, in an ordinary day, their maximalist and multifaceted inner world unexpectedly exploded out: they felt the urge to escape from the eventuality of a boring and repetitive job, they wanted to create something for themselves and for the others, a ready-to-wear brand, expression of their ambitions and passions.
Francesco and Chiara underwent a long apprenticeship in companies that have a great tradition in the clothing sector. Those years offered significant ‘hands-on’ activities, flanking high fashion seamstresses and patternmakers, appreciating the importance of high-quality products. Furthermore, they were more and more involved in the graphic skills, refining and specializing in graphic design and pattern making.
Prints became their passion and challenge, prints that allow them to ‘tell’ every time a different story on fabric, to evoke wearable and contemporary fascination.
In 2017 they finally launched Gentile Catone, a door to an ethereal and sparkling world, in which nostalgic taste, contemporary excitement, and daring romanticism find their discordant harmony.
