MRZ
MRZ is the fashion brand established in 2012 by the Italian company Maglificio Tomas, founded in 1974 by the Marziali family. Simona Marziali is the designer of the brand. To interpret the latest fashion trends, MRZ aims at an independent woman with the vocation for everything contemporary and immediate in an original and refined dimension. It introduces a contemporary proposal where sportswear elements meet femininity and tailoring, together with the unusual use of knitting, the brand´s DNA. Quality. Details. Colours. Shapes. Made in Italy in an international key. Ability to speak in the present. That is MRZ.
Immediately welcomed enthusiastically by numerous buyers, in 2016, the collaboration with Tomorrow Ltd takes MRZ to the next level, positioning it in selected stores and boutiques all over the world.
Simona Marziali was born in Italy. The passion for fashion arrives early, and after completing high school, she then graduates from “Koefia”, an international academy of high fashion and costume art and history, in Rome. She goes on to obtain a master´s in knitwear in Florence.
When she is only 21, she starts her professional career in fashion, working as a knitwear designer for various companies (such as Gilmar and Diesel) for over 12 years.
Thanks to her incessant desire to take up new challenges, she crossed various stages in her career until she creates the brand MRZ in 2012, forming a partnership with the Marziali’s family company that boasts over 40 years of productive experience in the knitwear sector. In July 2018, “VOGUE TALENTS” indicated MRZ as one of the best new brands and Simona Marziali receives first prize in the new talents competition “WHO’S ON NEXT? “ She also receives the recognition of “Penelope Price”. In January 2019, she presents her collection on the catwalk of Altaroma.
